What is very cool about this system is that it simply continues to play the Spotify playlist even after it has been switched off and on again. That would be ideal, but unfortunately it has no alarm function. There is only a sleep timer, which switches the system off after a certain time. But there is no alarm clock.
I have now looked in the MusicCast app, but I haven't found an alarm function either. Unfortunately, I don't know if Yamaha has other apps that would expand this function.
The silver and black models have a different price trend.
Neither model has Alexa. Only the newer speakers, e.g. MusicCast 20, have this.

By the way, the speakers of this system are mid-range. I operate the system with other, older speakers.
Can I connect my Sony record player, PS-HX500, to this unit without any other connectors or devices?
Since the PS-HX500 has a phono EQ, it can be connected to the N470's Aux-1 via an L/R RCA cable.
The CD drive, like the system in general, is of absolutely high quality. A track change does not take a second, even if half the CD is skipped. After one and a half years, it still shows no signs of age. However, I stream more than I listen to CDs.

Each MusicCast component can act as a master for the other MusicCast components and forward the sound to them.
