I understood that one should not consider only the RMS power to choose a hifi system, however by comparing the MCR-B370D of Yamaha, the TAM8905/10 of Philips and the SC-PMX94 of Panasonic I have difficulty in understanding what justifies the difference in price of the Yamaha model compared to the two others. The RMS power is 2x20W while the other two are min. 2x50W while the price is 1.5x higher.

Question about the amplifier specification, 2 x 20W RMS. Where are the frequency limits (low, high), where can I find information about the distortion factor? I would like to compare the amplifier quality with SC-PMX94, not only the max. power specifications. Where can I find this information? Thank you.

Hello Bico The distortion factor for the frequency range 20 Hz - 20 kHz is 0.05%. The frequency transmission of the loudspeakers is 60 Hz - 30 kHz The crossover frequency is 6 kHz. For 320.- I think the performance is very good. I also think that the sound, the feel and the quality are generally very good. In any case, I am satisfied. However, if you are really a sound freak and want to consciously listen to music in your armchair, then you have to switch to HighEnd. Best regards
