It depends. Basically, you cannot expect free air circulation in a flat with closed rooms. You will not get optimal results, especially if doors are always closed (bedroom). When the unit is running at full power, the airflow will also be loud. BUT: In the end, it is always a question of what the unit is supposed to do. Dust reduction is of course easier than controlled permanent filtering of the air (aerosols, pollen).

where can i buy the filter?

You can get the filters at Galaxus, for example. It is important to know that the filters can be used longer than the devices suggest. The first filter in the filter retains coarse dirt such as dust or hair, which can be vacuumed up with a hoover. Then put it back in the Xiaomi air purifier and simply perform a filter reset. This way, the filters can be used for a very long time. Because here in Switzerland, the air pollution is not comparable with countries in Asia. https://www.galaxus.ch/search?q=xiaomi%20air%20filter The grey filter is the best, it is a HEPA H13 filter, but it would be much cheaper at Amazon.de including shipping :).

Where can I get a replacement filter?

The replacement filters can be ordered from Galaxus, I somehow didn't find any at Digitec. https://www.galaxus.ch/search?q=xiaomi%20air%20purifier However, I would first recommend removing the filter from the device and then vacuuming off the dust fluff that sticks to it. I have been using my Air Purifier for years with the same filter. This 3 to 6 months and the filter used indicator does not take into account how dirty the ambient air really is, so if the Air Purifier itself constantly shows a value of 1, then the air is not very dirty. And one must also consider that the device filter change intervals certainly make sense for really dirty air. For example, in countries where the air pollution is 200 ppm or more and must be properly cleaned, here in Switzerland, vacuuming is enough :). And then reset the unit and continue to use the filter. If you need a new one, take the grey one, it's the most modern and best. They are all good, but the grey HEPA is the newest.

Replacement filter

I use the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Hepa (you can buy it here at galaxus) if you don't need hepa you can also use the purple one that came with the purchase. The one with the aldehut shape filters even more substances, but I personally don't think it's necessary. Greetings abe

The manufacturer does not mention this information, however, he says: 1. 500m3 / h CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) is higher than the international standard for measuring air purifier efficiency. Rigorous tests are carried out using dust, second-hand smoke and pollen to calculate the clean air delivery rate per unit of time. The higher the CADR, the more efficient the purifier. 2. 35m2-60m2 Recommended effective area: The effective area is based on the CADR and can be influenced by factors such as room height and plot ratio. However, this is an air purifier, so it is not designed for cigarette smoke.

These are always two different things - the seller is responsible for the warranty for two years (it may be that he settles damages with the manufacturer). In addition, as you wrote, there is a manufacturer's warranty - the manufacturer is responsible for years three, four and five, but you must contact the manufacturer in the event of damage.

You can also order original and third-party filters online. It starts at 19 euros and goes up to 39 euros - so it's much cheaper. The basic question is whether you want or need to change the filters after 145 days. If you only want to reduce the house dust, you can knock out or vacuum out the filter and continue to use it - but the error message will remain. However, if you use something like activated carbon, the filter performance is exhausted and the filter should be changed.
