You get the information that the fan has a problem and the appliance switches off. It does the same thing for me.
In fact it's an accumulation of dust on the cooling system. As you may have heard, a fan rotates when Xgimi is used to cool the internal components, lamp, etc... This causes dust to accumulate inside the cooling system, so the solution is to blow out the back and underside to evacuate this dust. Use a blower or compressor and set the power to intermediate, not full power.
Then turn Xgimi back on, and you're good to go for a few hours of viewing.
The XGIMI Horizon Ultra supports Dolby Atmos via the eARC port. If you connect a Sonos Arc or Beam 2nd Gen directly to the projector, Dolby Atmos should be transmitted to the soundbar via HDMI port 2. This also works if you also connect an Apple TV to HDMI port 1, as long as the correct settings are made, such as selecting HDMI eARC as the output format in the projector.
Yes, the projector supports Airplay via the AirScreen app. To do this, you must install the AirScreen app on the device and connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. The official instructions confirm that XGIMI products such as the HORIZON provide Airplay functions via this method.
Note: The above steps apply to the HORIZON - for your "Horizon (Full HD)" model, the exact procedure may vary, but Airplay functionality is typically available via AirScreen on XGIMI products in this series. If you are unsure, I recommend taking a look at the instructions supplied or the manufacturer's support portal.
You can watch Netflix on the XGIMI Horizon projector, but it requires a small workaround. Since Netflix requires specific licences and certifications for projectors, it is not directly available. However, you can use the Desktop Launcher app to install and use Netflix. Alternatively, you can also use an external streaming stick such as Amazon Fire TV or Chromecast to stream Netflix.
Hello Jörg
I also run the sound for the XGIMI Horizon Ultra projector via Bluetooth. I have a Lindeman music book, which even switches on automatically and switches to Bluetooth input. Works great so far and there's nothing to complain about with the sound.
So the question is rather what the soundbar can do!
Greetings Michel
The XGIMI Horizon Ultra can be mounted on a table or on the ceiling.
- Mounting on the ceiling: Yes, the projector can be mounted on the ceiling. There is no need to turn the projector upside down as the device has an integrated image correction function.
- Image correction: The projector is equipped with an automatic focus function and keystone correction, which makes it possible to adjust the image up or down without having to physically rotate the projector. This makes it easier to install and adapt to different environments.
Using the digital zoom in addition to the mechanical zoom on the XGIMI Horizon Ultra projector can affect image quality, albeit to a limited extent.
- The projector uses pixel shifting technology to improve image quality, but using digital zoom may result in a slight loss of detail and sharpness, particularly noticeable at very large diagonals or at very close range.
- However, the difference is often minimal and may not be very noticeable to most users, especially if you don't increase the digital zoom too much.
In summary, you can reduce the size of the projected image by using the digital zoom, but you may notice a slight drop in image quality, especially if you use the digital zoom a lot.
I think the problem is due to the type of HDMI cable not transmitting enough data, my projector is connected with a 10 metre long HDMI cable and receives data from the Nvdia Schield Pro decoder, in 4 k with dolby vision
This projector has a function that allows it to adjust the image to the wall colour and ambient light, but I don't know if that helps. However, if you are prepared to spend so much money on a projector, I would advise you to buy a suitable screen as well. I have one from Elite Screens: https://www.digitec.ch/de...
Hello, Just go to the manufacturer's website to get all the information you are looking for. Yes It is HDMI 2.1, USB 2.0, Lamp 25 000 hours, = 10 years at a rate of 5H per day.
No bracket supplied but an Xgimi wall bracket can be purchased from Digitec: XGIMI X-Wall (Wall) bracket
The best purchase I have ever made. Daily use. Distance 3m 150" HDR screen, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, remotely connected to a Boss speaker.
It also works via the Chrome browser:
Three-dot menu/save and share/stream/: In the pop-up window that then appears, select "Screen" (instead of "Tab") as the source, select the Horizon and minimise the browser.
I have now received an answer from xGimi support:
The Horizon series and AURA support 3D and keystone correction, but other products do not yet support this.
In case anyone has the same question, I wanted to clear up everyone's ignorance.
1: I don't know exactly, but certainly via Bluetooth (sound on the device is surprisingly good...)
2. the size of the picture can be adjusted
I can really recommend the projector
