Hi @maryyy
1. Internet via 5G hotspot
Possible. The projector connects to any Wi-Fi network, including a mobile hotspot. Streaming quality depends on mobile signal quality.
2. Watching TV
The XGimi Aura does run an AndroidTV OS so you are able to install Apps to watch external sources.
The Aura 2 however is shipped without official Netflix support due to Netflix licensing restrictions on some Android TV projectors.
You are able to connect any external source (e.g. Swisscom TV Box, Apple TV), console, or streaming device. Connection via HDMI.
3. Best image quality
HDMI from a dedicated device provides the most stable signal and full image quality.
4. USB playback
External USB drives work. Films can be played directly with no quality loss; quality depends only on the video file.
5. Projection surface
A UST ALR screen gives the best contrast, especially in bright rooms. A white wall or normal screen works but with lower contrast.
6. Apps
Runs Android/Google TV. Apps such as YouTube and Spotify can be installed directly.
7. Apple mirroring
AirPlay-style screen mirroring works. For the most stable video playback, an Apple TV 4K via HDMI is more reliable.
8. Viewing in Switzerland
Potentially possible at electronics retailers. I purchased the Aura 2 couple of weeks ago. I run it with a separate Android TV (Xiaomi Mi) and Apple TV source and I am very happy.
