The mowing area(s) should be marked out using a perimeter wire (like most robot mowers). This wire forms an electrical loop that the mower locates when it reaches an edge. It then heads off in another direction. To avoid problems, you need to plan the installation of this wire carefully. You also need to respect the recommended distances between the edges of the lawn and the wire. When you're mowing, the mower will arrange itself to go all over the lawn... Works supplies a number of optional modules to avoid obstacles in the field (trees, terraces, etc.), such as "Off Limits", which consists of a sort of magnetic cable used to surround prohibited areas, or the ACS, which enables it to detect obstacles in front of it (like eyes).
