The addition NAS only means that this SSD is suitable for 24/7 operation in the NAS. Of course, the SSD can also be used in a workstation.
We offer a 5-year bring-in guarantee.
Hello Hugibert Unfortunately I have no experience with the DS224+, but: Contrary to all opinions, I have installed 4 pcs in an RS815+, which is in video recording 24/7, i.e. continuous writing and reading. In use for approx. 1/2 year, no problems so far. How could there be, WD guarantees this performance! The Synology is now X times faster! Video search, rewind etc. is now a fraction of what it was before. I can only recommend this to everyone. The only disadvantage: migration... With most Synolgys, you can't simply swap the HD drives for SSDs and then restore / or reconstruct a backup... Synology usually wants a new installation for this change. You have to check the manual or the forum to find out beforehand. Thank you very much Kind regards
Yes, it's perfect for a NAS.
Thank you very much for pointing this out. We have adjusted the warranty period.
Sorry, ich meinte 2000GB
Hi, have installed the SSDs in an old server in March 2022 with 2003 Server (32 bit) OS. so far no problem. Hope it stays like this!? Server was built by myself, of course with Intel server board. Greetings
You get a warning message that it is an unsupported hard disk, but it is still possible to mount the hard disk in a pool and volume; it is correctly recognised as an SSD. So far I have not noticed any loss of functionality, but I do not have a long-term test.
I used the ICY BOX IB-183M2 - which is much slower but according to the manual this combination should fit: https://www.raidsonic.de/products/external_cases/external_cases_m2_m_sata/IB-1824ML-C31/manual_IB-1824ML-C31_Nov20_web.pdf
Thank you for pointing this out, the information should definitely be adjusted soon. According to my research, it should also be 2500 TBW.
That depends on the mainboard. Check the data storage interface on your desired board. M.2 available? Which type (B / M key)? Length compatible? (2280)
