Yes, the disc can also be connected to a USB 2.0 port, no special cable is needed for this. However, it will not be possible to achieve USB 3.0 speed.

Hello - can a complete back-up for an iMac be created with this hard disk? If not, with which external hard drive would this be possible? I would like to create a back-up before loading a new software version on the iMac (for security). Thank you, Romina
