Questions about Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh

I have a Unifi AP access point connected to the router by cable. Now I want to have a repeater/access point in another room that amplifies the wifi signal (without a LAN cable). My question: is the "Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO MESH" suitable for this purpose? Or is there a product from Ubiquiti that is better suited for this purpose?

Hello Sagergabel This is wonderfully suitable for it. If you don't need a LAN connection at this location, the "small version" might be better, as it's smaller and only half the price: Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M MESH

Good day, everyone. I have a Swisscom Wlan Box 3 in my living room, which is connected with an Ethernet cable. Can the UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh be configured so that it can be integrated into the existing wifi of the Swisscom router and thus pick up and distribute the signal in the garden area? Many thanks

Hello everyone I have a question regarding the product: Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh Can I configure one as a transmitter and one as a receiver ? The idea behind this is I have a small hall next to my house (distance as the crow flies 25m without any trees or walls in between) but I don't have the possibility to lay a RJ45 cable.... Can I now program a Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh as transmitter and a second Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh via secondary output on the device to another switch as receiver (it is clear that the receiver must be supplied with power via the main port) to have an RJ45 connection in the hall? Does this work or is there another possibility (connection via Powerline is not possible because the whole thing runs on a different phase and electricity meter)? Thanks for your answer Kind regards

Only one mesh needs to be wired to the network. Any number of others connect wirelessly to the next one. All work as access points with the identical SSID. So yes - a solution for your requirements.

Looking for an Ubiquiti Unifi access point for outdoor use. It should cover a semicircle, if possible a little more, with a radius of 20m. Dual band would also be desirable. Does anyone have a recommendation? Network cable is already prepared.

Hello I have the following problem: My router is in the living room and I have no way to run a cable through the wall to the outside. Now I would like to have WLAN in my garden house at a distance of about 120 m from the house so that I can connect a camera. According to the description, this device is weatherproof and should be able to cover this distance without any problems. Do I understand correctly that this device does not need to be connected to the router, but only to the power supply via the adapter? I can install such a device in the room next to the living room, so to speak, and the other one outside on the garden house. The WLAN-capable camera in the garden house would then be connected to the WLAN network? Am I right or am I wrong? Or do you recommend something else? I have 3 units with firmware 4.3.21.11325 - what is the reason for the question or why should there be differences between US and EU?

Hi, the Unifi AP-AC-M-Pro Mesh is called Mesh, but unlike other mesh products from Unifi, it does not explicitly mention "Seamless Roaming = Yes" under the access point properties. Is that the case anyway?

In principle, yes, but it should be borne in mind that the design of the unit means that most of the radiation is emitted from the front.

Can you tell me if it acts as a switch for the second RJ45 port? I mean, the first port feeds the access point itself from the main swtich, is the second port served directly by the first? I hope I'm being clear enough...

Hello, The second port is bridged to the first one, which means that it allows traffic between the two. If your goal is to connect a PC, camera or other to this port to use the ethernet, yes it will work. However, the second port will not provide PoE.

Is it possible to create a bridge between Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO MESH (existing network) and a UniFi AP AC-LR (remote / new network)? I want to patch a patch cable from the ethernet port of the UniFi AP AC-LR to a L2 switch where some PCs can be connected. Thank you and greetings
