I have the following problem:

My router is in the living room and I have no way to run a cable through the wall to the outside. Now I would like to have WLAN in my garden house at a distance of about 120 m from the house so that I can connect a camera. According to the description, this device is weatherproof and should be able to cover this distance without any problems. Do I understand correctly that this device does not need to be connected to the router, but only to the power supply via the adapter? I can install such a device in the room next to the living room, so to speak, and the other one outside on the garden house. The WLAN-capable camera in the garden house would then be connected to the WLAN network? Am I right or am I wrong?

Or do you recommend something else?

I would bring the LAN signal into the garden house via a powerline adapter and connect a WLAN device there, 120m and through the wall.... too far for WLAN Mesh. Note: My UniFi AP-AC-M-PRO Mesh in the garden was connected to the router via LAN cable, but it did not work via WLAN Mesh.

Hello Marc, you need at least one device from the Unifi line that is connected to the router via LAN (Base Station). you can then connect the second hop (garden house, connected to the first hop via WiFi) via the first hop (adjoining room to the living room, connected to the Base Station via WiFi).
