Lifetime is defined there as "the period of use of the device, e.g. the period during which you receive updates, services, content and accessories from TomTom". This means: "A device has reached the end of its service life when this support is no longer provided." This means that the company can arbitrarily declare the service life to have ended at any time by discontinuing support.
The 2nd generation TomTom GO Classic 6 can receive traffic information without using a smartphone, thanks to its integrated services. Here are the details:
- The GPS includes the TomTom Traffic service, which provides real-time traffic updates without the need for a smartphone connection.
- However, to benefit from some additional services such as mobile danger zone alerts, a smartphone connection or an integrated SIM card with data may be required.
