How can this device be operated without a remote control?... or, which remote control do you recommend? Can I also use game controllers to control Android while the glasses are on?

Most Bluetooth controllers work with android. Otherwise you just have to take the thing out and touch the screen. It's more for "videos" anyway. I use my s-pen on my phone for that.
