Questions about StarTech Thunderbolt 3 Pcie Enclosure

Dear Sir or Madam, I work at EPFL in Switzerland. I have a question concerning the item no 10167226 (StarTech THUNDERBOLT 3 PCIE ENCLOSURE), as I am not a specialist in that field: I recently bought a PCI express DAQ card to use a special device (a force sensor to be precise). My problem is that I would like to use this device with my labtop (which has a thunderbolt port). I am thus looking for an external box in which I could introduce this PCI express DAQ card and that I could link to my labtop. Is this what I need? Are the connector sell with the product or do I have to buy them separately? Do I have to buy a power source for this enclosure or is it included? I saw that sometimes you had also to buy a controller card separetly. Is it the case with this product? I was wondering the difference between this product and the product Exsys EX-1010 or the StarTech PCIE TO PCI EXPANSION SYSTEM Thank you very much in advance for your help
