Transformer hum can have various causes, so there is no simple rule on how to eliminate it. A little hum is normal, every transformer does that. Stronger humming can occur when the transformer reaches saturation, when it is overloaded or when it is defective. If it is really disturbing and it is getting more and more, I would send it in for a check-up.

To adjust the bass and treble on the Sony STR-DH590 AV receiver, you can use the equalisation settings available in the device menu. Here are the general steps: 1. Access the menu: Press the "MENU" button on the remote control to open the main menu. 2. Select "Audio Settings": Navigate to the "Audio Settings" or "Equalisation" section and select it. 3. Adjust parameters: Once in the equalisation section, you can adjust the bass and treble levels to your preference. Usually, there are options to adjust bass and treble independently. 4. Save your settings: After making adjustments, be sure to save your changes to apply them. These settings will allow you to customise the sound according to your preferences.

It doesn't matter if you have a record player or a TV or any other connected device. The important thing is to match the power of the Sony STR-DH590 system to the power (load) of the speakers correctly. Where the music source comes from should not matter. I use Canton loudspeakers 5 / Pay attention to this: The nominal power handling of the speakers should match the performance of the AV receiver. It is no problem if the amplifier exceeds the load capacity of the speakers, because there is no danger of damage during normal operation. The situation is different if the receiver is too weak. Power peaks can then cause defects in the tweeters.

Sony TV with 4K with HDMI inputs works flawlessly. But HDMI comes in different formats and resolutions. HDMI and resolutions above Full HD and HDMI 2.0 See Wikipedia. Expensive cables are not necessary, the data resolution must be 4K compatible. I use the Sony STR-DH590 (5.2 channel, 5 x 145W, black) with 2 front speakers, a Yamaha centre, 2 Canton surround speakers and 1 Canton subwoofer. Ingenious is the calibration mic for optimal sound. Performing it once takes only 5 minutes and the result is royal sound and groof.

(Fremdsprächig - It) In my opinion this should not be a problem, I currently use the STR-DH590 with a Sony KD55X800 TV and the AV receiver automatically uses the TV speakers together with the 5.1 to develop a better sound. I'm not a technician, but if you use a 4.1 instead of the 5.1, the TV speakers will also be involved in this case to improve the overall sound. I hope I have clarified your doubts and I wish you a lot of fun!

Yes it works! I have 2 Sony front speakers, 1 Yamaha centre speaker and 2 Canton rear speakers and Canton subwoofer. The microphone is great for measuring the room sound. The measurement takes about 1 minute and should be done during the day when it is quiet, Once saved and it works! Super sound from hip hop, rock, techno and classical music.
