I have a Harman Kardon reciever and now a new Sony TV. The TV is having trouble with the HDMI signals that I used to run through the reciever. Will it work again with a new reciever? Is there a transition piece so that I can use the subwoofer on the Sony reciever?

Sony TV with 4K with HDMI inputs works flawlessly. But HDMI comes in different formats and resolutions. HDMI and resolutions above Full HD and HDMI 2.0 See Wikipedia. Expensive cables are not necessary, the data resolution must be 4K compatible. I use the Sony STR-DH590 (5.2 channel, 5 x 145W, black) with 2 front speakers, a Yamaha centre, 2 Canton surround speakers and 1 Canton subwoofer. Ingenious is the calibration mic for optimal sound. Performing it once takes only 5 minutes and the result is royal sound and groof.
