Does this soundbar switch on/off automatically (standby) when the source is switched on or off (Swisscom TV, ps4, etc.) and is connected to the TV via an optical cable?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer the question of wireless testing. (Only smartphones are specified here).
But it has a normal digital in therefore the TV can be connected safely. (Easy connection of your devices via optical, digital and analogue audio inputs as well as USB).

I have the Sony TV KDL-40W4500 at home and am looking for a soundbar. Since the TV is not the newest, I wanted to ask if this soundbar is compatible with the TV? And if so, what accessories (cables etc) I might need. Or would another soundbar (in the price segment up to 300.-) be a better choice?
