Does this player also play DVDs that have been burned with a completely normal DVD recorder (e.g. Panasonic)? - I ask because Sony players used to be a bit very restrictive...

Can this model play 4K files via DLNA? Unfortunately, my Sony 4K TV can only play back FullHD resolutions via DLNA. It only displays 4K via USB.

Just tried it,it does NOT work with 2 different 4K test videos I have (mp4 files).the said 4K videos work fine when I stream them directly to my TV (Samsung).the files are streamed from a Synolgy NAS.

I bought the player 1.5 years ago and now it can't read / play certain Blu Ray discs like the new Thor! Does anyone know what to do?

Is this a multi-zone BR player? Can it play BR for A/1 zone? I have bought it and at least one BR says it needs a A/1 player.

I am looking for a Blueray player that also allows me to listen to audio CDs via Bluetooth speakers. Can this model do that? If not, is there a model (manufacturer doesn't matter) that can do this?

Can this player work with other TVs than a Sony? Or does something have to be reprogrammed for a Samsung TV, for example?

Can this product play mkv files in AVC format with DTS sound format from DLNA? My current player supports mkv, but as soon as DTS comes into play, it only displays the audio... :-( :-(

um... I mean, it only shows the picture, but just, no sound.

In my experience, the BDP-S7200 can only upscale (HDMI cable should be high-speed), 4K BD players will be coming soon (originally planned for the end of 2015). Samsung has already shown a first prototype a long time ago (see http://www.gizmag.com/samsung-ultra-hd-4k-blu-ray-player-details/39306/).

Unfortunately, no. I tried to play a DVD from the USA. Otherwise, a great device.

Just tested it, connected a USB hard disk. It worked, put all the folders there like on a PC. Film could be searched and played back so easily.
