Is this the new version (also called 2.0 on the web?) in which the lower container and the upper cover are made of metal?

I'm not sure which Soda Stream is version 2.0, but the exact product above is the one I bought two months ago and yes that's right: this product has a metal container and top cover as well. A good buy, I use it almost every day.

In the past, plastic bottles had an "expiry date". Does this also apply to glass bottles and if so, how long / until when?

No, unfortunately this is not possible with us. However, you can do this directly via SodaStream :-)
