It is not difficult in itself, but it is relatively time-consuming. You have to try to measure/estimate the corrections for different focal lengths and then check them again etc. With my 18-35, there was also the fact that it plays a role whether the lens focuses from infinity or from close-up. If your camera can correct internally, then the dock is probably not absolutely necessary.

I must honestly admit that I also had a lot of trouble with this docking station and the corresponding software... No matter what I set, it didn't change the backfocus problem with the lens (SIGMA 18-35mm f/1.8 ART on Canon EOS 8'0D).... Finally I returned the docking station, as I also returned the lens to the dealer and then bought an original Canon lens.... so unfortunately I can't help, sorry.

There seems to have been some confusion. According to the supplier, the E-mount lenses were released in the summer but not the dock on E-mount. According to the product manager, firmware updates for E-mount lenses run via the camera and possibly no adapter is needed at all :) Unfortunately, we currently have no information on if and when an E-mount adapter will be released. Please excuse me :(
