I find it confusing when the product description does not clearly state whether the kettle has a German plug with adapter or a Swiss plug. For me, a Swiss plug is a must for a purchase.

This is always annoying with devices. Sometimes CH, sometimes with an adapter, sometimes nothing... Digitec/Galaxus should really improve. The kettle above came with a D->CHF adapter.

Is the inside of this unit really only made of chrome steel on the bottom and the side wall entirely of plastic?

Is the inner vessel completely made of chrome steel or only the bottom and the rest of plastic? Is the appliance now available with a Swiss plug or only with the adapter?

Only the bottom is made of chrome steel. The rest (except for what is visible from the design at the top) is made of plastic. I bought this kettle in January 2014 with a Swiss plug. It is used a lot and does what it promises. I would always choose this kettle again (with different temperatures - depending on the type of tea etc.).
