Hi, I'm a bit sceptical: this 16TB Seagate Exos X16 SAS drive is significantly cheaper than the 14TB version and roughly in the same price range as the 10TB and 12TB variants. How is that possible?

Hello Together for a 4-bay NAS, I always thought the Ironwolf was the best disks, of course they are also great, now I see for the first time that the Exos from Seagate also support SAS and are even cheaper. Is there a disadvantage compared to the Ironwolf series? Greetings M

The difference is the power consumption of Exos 6.2 W and Ironwolf 7.8 W. Otherwise, I would ask the manufacturer directly.
