The Smart Tag+ have built-in ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, a digital radio technology used in short-range radio communication. UWB is limited to a few metres and has a high accuracy of up to 10 centimetres. This is the only difference to the normal Smart Tag, which "only" uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology. However, the Smart Tag+ is only compatible with a few or newer Samsung smartphones that have a UWB chip. This UWB technology allows compatible Samsung smartphones to be located even more precisely than with conventional smart tags. In practice, this means that the normal tags are displayed on the map with pinpoint accuracy and can be located by means of a green bar (the closer, the greener) or by means of a beep, but for me personally it is enough where they are displayed on the map. the Smart Tag+ (I don't use it) can be located to within a few centimetres using AR/camera guidance and UWB technology.
