have had watch 6 for some time now, very very satisfied, battery performance just under 2 days, have all functions switched on, day and night, otherwise, deactivate everything you don't need, e.g. GPS, constant synchronisation etc. I think the watch is really good and quite accurate in the measurements, was really surprised how long I snore at night, fully recorded.

It isn't as straightforward. You need a Samsung phone to pair and setup the app. does not pair with iPhone. Once setup, eSim can be enabled(recommend Sunrise/Swisscom/ other shops doing it for you)

I can't say which one I received, but it works perfectly. I ordered it here just under a month ago (40mm, black, Wi-Fi only).
There is no SIM slot, only e-SIM. Yes you can make calls with the watch without the mobile present.Yes the watch has GPS and you can locate it. The Samsung Health app for example can log the route you have talken on a workout.

i have no Tattoos, but i did own the watch 4,5 and 6 and the sensor looks the same (same green light) . Also the functionality does not really differ. So my guess would be, if 4 did not work 6 also will fail.

Yes, there are functions that can only be used with a Samsung smartphone. These include the ECG and blood pressure function. For these functions, Samsung uses the Health Monitor app, which is only available for the company's own phones.
