According to my information this Player is not Regionfree for Bluray nor DVD. As far as i know the DVD Player Part of the following product is Regionfree: Pioneer BDP-180 (Player, WLAN, Schwarz)

no, the device is pretty much bare bones, it has no apps installed.
You might want to buy a HDMI cable to connect the Player to your TV. Afaik, this is not included (atleast it's not mentioned in the details).
Since the unit does not have its own TV tuner, the question should answer itself... This means that only playback of video files is possible and no recording.
