The heart rate monitor is generally compatible with Samsung Health, as it transmits heart rate data via Bluetooth Low Energy. However, Samsung Health does not recognise the chest strap directly for heart rate measurement during training. A common solution is to pair the heart rate monitor with the Polar Beat app or Strava and connect these apps to Samsung Health to synchronise the data. Direct use of the chest strap with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 for heart rate data is not possible without detours, as the watch usually prioritises its own wrist measurement and external sensors are not directly accepted as a heart rate source.
To summarise:
- The heart rate monitor transmits heart rate data via Bluetooth LE, compatible with many devices.
- Samsung Health cannot receive the data directly from the chest strap.
- The data can be integrated into Samsung Health via detours (Polar Beat or Strava as an intermediary).
- The Galaxy Watch 8 does not support direct heart rate measurement from the chest strap, but uses its own sensors, which can lead to inaccuracies.
The heart rate monitor is therefore not compatible for direct and simple use with Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch 8 without additional apps or workarounds.
The belt (without sensor) must not be washed in the washing machine. It should be rinsed under running water after each use and hung up to dry. If necessary, the belt can be carefully cleaned by hand with mild soap, but should not be machine-washed, ironed, dry-cleaned or bleached. Never tumble dry the belt.
The heart rate monitor is not explicitly listed for the Apple Watch Series 7, but it is compatible with various Apple Watch models. You can connect it to your Apple Watch via Bluetooth Low Energy as long as you wear it correctly and set up the connection.
Hello, I had the same problem of bad smell, replaced by an identical Polar same thing. I replaced it with a Garmin but complete with sensor. The Garlin is fine.
I can't tell you because I don't have a Suunto.
But with my Fenix 6, the Tunturi home trainer, the fitness equipment in the gym and the Bosch computer on my e-bike, it works perfectly. Is recognised immediately everywhere
Hoi - most of these heart rate monitors do exactly one thing: record the heart rate and transmit it directly via ANT+ or BT LE to a connected device - which then displays it.
So, unfortunately, no, these belts cannot determine the training distance covered via GPS; for this you need at least a corresponding fitness watch or a smartphone.
The fitness watch can also record the heart rate... (cough :) ).
The Polar H10 is compatible with fitness apps, sports watches and smartwatches, fitness equipment and many other ANT+ and Bluetooth devices. The Polar H10 can be connected to ANT+ and Bluetooth devices at the same time.
Depending on the manufacturer, the size M-XXL can be adjusted from a size M to a size XXL. So for anyone who is a size M, L or XL, this article is suitable.
Hello
According to the Polar manual: "All transmitter units contain user replaceable batteries".
But if you ever need to replace the battery, you need a "CR 2025" battery
Kind regards
For me, the band is connected directly to the iPhone. I use Strava to record the data. So if you use a compatible app, getting your VO2max should not be a problem.
