Yes, that is correct. There is only one model of the Polar Balance, well, in black and white.
Without other aids, a scale can at best only give a poor estimate of your KFA. If you want to determine your KFA, you need a caliper or a body fat scale with a handheld measuring device. Alternatively, you can use a tape measure and the Navy or YMCA method.

My experience is that the scale can only connect to the Loop 2.
