The radio is compatible with steering wheel controls via an appropriate Canbus adapter, but the Canbus adapter is not included and must be purchased separately. A Canbus T5.1 mounting kit is available to ensure this compatibility. It is therefore necessary to use this type of interface for the steering wheel controls to work correctly with the vehicle's Canbus system. This information is confirmed by the availability of a specific Canbus kit for this model from certain retailers.
There is no specific fibre optic decoder for this model of car radio. This model already incorporates an optical drive (DVD player) and supports DAB/DAB+ digital radio, but there is no mention of an external fibre optic decoder in the available documentation or specifications.
The car radio does not indicate any specific compatibility with fibre optic speakers. It has pre-amplified RCA outputs (3 RCA pre-outs) for connecting conventional amplifiers or speakers, but there is no mention of a dedicated interface or connection for fibre optic speakers in the available specifications. As a result, it is not directly compatible with fibre-optic speakers.
Hello, it is quite possible to play music only from a USB stick with this car radio. It supports playback of audio files from USB devices connected to the rear. However, this device does not have an internal hard drive for storing music; it plays files directly from external sources such as the USB stick, CD/DVD or via Bluetooth.
Hello Patrick
We have installed this device in a VW T5. However, the connector plugs have to be adapted, and the CAN bus and the original reversing camera cannot be connected directly - unless a suitable adapter is available in the meantime.
I ordered the Pioneer DAB+ windscreen antenna item 2729152 for 36.10 Swiss francs from Galaxus. In principle, another DAB antenna with SMB connector can also be used.
