Questions about Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100

The toothbrush cleans great. But which usability whizz thought it was a good idea for the toothbrush to simply switch off after a defined time (about 2-3 minutes)? This has annoyed me briefly once every morning for 2 years. Sure. Just press a button and it's on again and after a while you do it automatically. But ... WHAT'S THIS NONSENSE? The constant short interruption after 30 seconds still gets on my nerves. I have my own toothbrushing routine. I decide when to switch from top to bottom or from left to right. And I decide when I've finished and switch it off. I also don't want a toothbrush that just goes off and beeps and has to be pressed several times when it thinks the brush needs changing. That may boost sales, but as an adult capable of making decisions, it annoys the hell out of me. There! I had to get that out. Things are better now. Thank you.

I have now bought my 4th Sonicare PC 5100 after the others broke. Super poor quality. No idea why I still buy them. But now with the latest model I have noticed that it is much quieter than the previous models and in my opinion rotates less intensively. Has anything changed in the product?

This question has already been asked several times, but can I charge the toothbrush in the travel case or does it have to be plugged into the adapter? With our current toothbrush, it can be charged in the case, which is super useful when travelling.

Which replacement brush fits Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100 - a W is shown on the brush head. I have already bought the wrong replacements, but unfortunately they don't fit. My handset has a round attachment with a side notch. I can only find replacement brush heads that fit the oval attachment, e.g. item 9699912. Can anyone help me?

Will the C1 brushes fit on the 5100?

Exactly the same problem as with #PekotskiBit, the 2nd toothbrush defective shortly after the warranty ends... I'm switching back to Oral B :)

can the toothbrush also be charged in the Philips Sonicare glass, or only with the matching charger of this model?
