Questions about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000

I can only advise against the Philips Sonicare toothbrushes. I have had 5 replacements since 2019. The last one has now lasted just 4 months and the mechanics are on the blink. New handpieces will not charge with old chargers! Mechanics have failed 4 times, 1 time it was the battery.

Not a question, more a comment. It was recommended to me by a dentist, who immediately gave me a golden tip that saved me money. Be sure to remove the chip (at the bottom of the brush head). After a certain time, the brush only provides 1 stroke of power! The chip in the brush head communicates with the body. If you remove it, you will have endless pleasure, clean teeth and neither a hole in your wallet nor in your tooth. I have my brush head for an average of 6-12 months. (No problem according to the dentist! As long as you don't press like a wild man, which you don't have to do here).

I have been using the Sonicare Diamond Clean series for 6 years - I am now on my 3rd defect, one of which was replaced by Philipps. The company's attitude to these incidents is unbelievable: 3x this product has stopped working after 23 to 25 months. The advice of the support is very simple - buy the warranty extension as well, the toothbrush cannot be repaired. To that extent, I was offered a 25% discount code - but I have to buy a new unit. This is a high-end product! However, the company doesn't give a ... The company doesn't give a damn about environmental protection and only knows how to respond to the objection that the battery is an environmental burden: just buy a new one, this time with an extended warranty.

I bought the toothbrush 1.5 years ago. Now the pin at the front is loose. Could it be that only one screw could be tightened? Does anyone know how to open the toothbrush?

A question about the warranty and the extension to five years: are damaged batteries and loss of performance covered? Does the warranty also cover the replacement device? I ask because I have already bought a Sonicare DiamondClean three times (!) + received a replacement unit. And four times, more or less after the warranty expired, either the battery or the brush head was defective (as soon as the brush touches the teeth, it hardly moves... even a manual toothbrush is more effective then). If the toothbrush works perfectly, it is worth the money. But the fact that it doesn't even last 1-2 years without problems at a price of 165 - 200 CHF is actually almost bordering on fraud. And it's a little hard for me to believe that I've simply had bad luck four times. That's why I'd like to know if the two problems I mentioned, which apparently don't just happen to me on a regular basis, are covered by the extended warranty and if I don't have to worry about something like this happening again for five years?

Has anyone been able to find out if there are any travel cases available for the set (HX9914/57)? Everything I find is not compatible. Thank you

Somehow, unfortunately, it is still not clear to me what exactly is being delivered here? The pictures are very unclear. 2 brushes and 2 charging stations + a glass -but in which colours then? Is the glass rose gold or black at the bottom? Thank you!

Are there actually no more models with the UV station for the brush?

Is it possible to charge the toothbrush without the dental glass using a normal adapter?

Can I use the charging glass for other Sonicare toothbrushes? My friend has the Sonicare 6100 and it would be handy to use the same charging glass.

There is a Philips Sonicar Diamond Clean 9000 that comes with 2 toothbrushes for 135.- - The same one is available from you for 133.- but only one piece, what is the difference?

Why do I get an adapter (which can no longer be removed!!!) for the Sonicare DiamondClean 9000? I'm not interested in a toothbrush with an adapter, I just want to charge it with a mains cable. I have not found anything about this in the product description.

Why is this device - WITHOUT any indication! - with a fixed adapter? This is a NO-GO and will inevitably lead to a return as soon as I have the device at the delivery address (at my mother's). Don't you ever learn anything? Fixadapter is a clear reduction in value and MUST be specified. Anything else is an offence against the UWG. And I'll think about whether I'll just leave it with the return...

Are travel cases also available?

In a Kassensturz test, the Philipps Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 was initially rated as the worst product. A little later it was placed in the midfield. The reason for this was the inadequate bristle rounding. The subsequent better ranking was due to the fact that a counterfeit product was recognised! The product tested was purchased from Galaxus Digitec. Do I now have a counterfeit in my house?

Hello everyone Here on Galaxus you can choose between different delivery scopes (1 handpiece, 2 handpieces etc.) I would like to know why the version with 1x handpiece, 1x charging glass, 1x....... and TWO BRUSH HEADS is supposed to be 48CHF more expensive than the version with only one brush head. I know that these are generally more expensive, but that is probably a bit exaggerated.

How long does the battery of the toothbrush last? Do I always have to take the charging glass or the case with me when I go away for a week? With my old Philipps, the battery lasts about 1.5 weeks without recharging

As if in passing, 110 volts is mentioned. So it can't be used in Switzerland? Or am I misunderstanding something here?
