I received the shaver, charging station with integrated cleaning unit, case, 2 razor heads and cleaning cartridge in the package. To note: The charger is connected to the charging station or to the shaver.

Can do but I would not recommend buy yourself something professional for triming.

To be honest, I'm standing in the reeds myself: I used to do the cleaning almost daily, in the operating instructions I think I read something about 1x/week. But no matter how I do it, the device has never (!) indicated a necessary cartridge change. I now change the cartridges about every 3 months. But I don't know what is really true or "sensible".

Hello M.Goldiger Nope, as far as I know, you can't - I always order from https://www.philips.ch/c-p/JC305_50/reinigungskartusche-mit-dualem-filtersystem-und-aktiver-oelung which also looks on the product page of the shaver: https://www.philips.ch/c-p/S9711_31/shaver-series-9000/zubehor I think they come in packs of 1, 3 or (I always order them) 5.

We are sorry that you do not like this shaver. In this case, you can return the shaver to the Philips address. You can find all the information you need at the following link: https://www.philips.ch/c-w/promotions/GZG.html . :)

I couldn't find anything on the internet but I suspect it has something to do with bacteria formation, so that everything stays nice and clean, the device heats up quickly for disinfection because many bacteria don't survive a rapid change of heat.

1000 charging cycles -> 10000 days (you need to charge it every 10 to 14 days) -> 27 to 38 years. Usually the charging cycles are defined as "full charging", if you charge only the last 6 %, you should not consider it as full charging. Your point 1) was for old battery technologies. I'm not sure the batteries in the razors have such effect. [note: car batteries are the opposite: better full charged, so we should not generalize]. Note: I do not think the battery will endure so long. Personally, I charge only when the battery if empty, and I alternate washing and just charging. Note: one of the high quality razor in Series 9000 do not support any more any wash stations, so I assume we should not wash often (but for the usual wash under tap water). Some washing cycles heat the head (there are various programs, chosen automatically by washing station), but as far I know. But I never shaved after I wash the razor (usually I wash it after I use it, and so at evening it is cold, and ready for next day).
