I have the "problem" with my steam station that a metallic rustling noise can be heard during the pumping process (as in this video from 00:10-00:20 approx.: https://youtu.be/fX8on93pfr8). Is this normal/do your machines also have this?

Nahja; brief comparison of the two products tells me: Fits Brabantia Steam Control: L x W = 395mm x 225mm. Size Philips Perfect Care Elite Silence: L x W = 453mm x 233mm Probably doesn't really fit.... But the appliance is top #thumbs up

This station has large dimensions! Which ironing boards fit it. The shelves from Brabantia seem too small to me because of the limitation of the shelves.

I have a rather old ironing board from Migros, which is actually for normal steam irons (with the "hole"). The surface of the board is about 30x40 cm. The station goes on it without a problem.

Can I use this iron with the Brabantia Bügeltisch Grösse B?

As you can see in the specifications of both products the Philips is about 6 cm longer than the Bügeltisch, but this shouldn‘t be a problem

Because I am looking for a quieter steam ironing station, I came across the Philips model. I see from the description that the temperature cannot be adjusted, but the device always has the same temperature for all fabrics. It is promised that the fabric, no matter what texture, will neither burn nor shine if ironed too hot. But what happens with fine curtain fabrics? I know from experience that there are very fine fabrics (organza) that can only be ironed on the lowest setting, and if too much steam is used, the fabric will "curl" because the heat causes the fibres to contract. For me it is hard to imagine that you can iron even very fine fabrics without damaging the fibres. In addition, the iron cannot be set up because there is no space for it at the back of the cable. I need this when I have to iron hems, then I like to put the iron up because I have to prepare the next steps. If I left the iron on the fabric I would worry about burning the fine fabrics. Has anyone had any experience as a seamstress with this appliance?

Instead of using distilled water, can I also decalcify the water with a filter (e.g. from Laurastar)? Distilled water is not without its problems!

We decalcify the water with a Britta filter (and have very hard water), so far we have no problems with it. We are very happy with the steam station, it is extremely quiet, and efficient!
