The night light only has one ambient color.

I also had the problem with the monitor unit. In my case, a defective WiFi router was the cause. However, I didn't have the problem with the temperature.

Comparing the specifications of the two products I can see that the difference is the intercom function. the SCD921/26 does not have the intercom function.

I can't say whether there are other baby units. We use the baby unit with a power bank. Since it has a micro-USB connection, it's relatively easy. Of course, an integrated battery would be desirable.

I can only confirm this. It doesn't work like that via Hotspot iPhone either. Too bad!
The pure radio range is not quite as good. In our house (also a solid construction) it is just enough to reach the roof terrace. But the Wi-Fi connection makes it possible to get over it. With the app, you have unlimited range when the camera is connected to the Wi-Fi. This works very well

Yes only if you are using your smartphone with the baby unit. You can take pictures of the baby and record video but I don't know how long the camera keeps recording. Then you save the video in your smartphone and that's it

In any case, we leave this question open if anyone has encountered the same problem.
In the iOS/Android app you can add multiple cameras (not tried, only have one). Probably not with the monitor supplied, that's a 1:1 connection.
However, Philips doesn't seem to sell the camera separately (yet)... so you'd have to take a set again.
