How long is the cable to the external receiver? and can you disconnect/unplug the external receiver so that you can get through a smaller drill hole? Or do you have to drill a huge hole so that the whole receiver fits through...

I don’t remember how long, but enough, as it is supposed to link several devices that usually are in same closet. No you cannot detach any component, they are stick together.

Will this work with new Samsung TVs that only have the Smart Remote? I would like to continue using my old remote control. Somehow my UE43NU7400 doesn't seem to have an IR receiver anymore.
