I ordered the device from Galaxus. It is the old version in portrait format. On the Omron website there is also a note saying "new". What is confusing is that the designation is identical.

No can be battery operated. But I bought the mains adapter additionally because it is cheaper.
It works with 4 AA batteries. You can buy a power supply unit for 22.-, item no. 10637292. Omron mains adapter
The app is available for Android and IOS from the manufacturer: https://www.omronconnect.com/emea/de_def/ In the app, the measured values can be exported as .csv and then, for example, sent by e-mail or stored on a cloud drive (Google Drive, One Drive...), etc....
