I bought the noco x 45 for my car with an AGM battery as I read that it was good for all cars. When I received the product I read in the manual that it is only to be used for lead-acid batteries. Can I use the noco x45 for AGM batteries? Should I make a return? Do you recommend another product that is more suitable or is it OK with this one?

Hello Delpe, the Noco Boost X GBX45 is suitable for all lead batteries. Lead batteries are the classic wet battery ("Wet", you have to refill with distilled water) and then all maintenance-free batteries such as Gel, MF, EFB and AGM. So your AGM battery is also a lead-acid battery and the Noco Boost X GBX is ideally suited for it! The lead-acid battery types that can be used with the Noco Boost X GBX45 are indicated on the front of the data sheet (bottom right).

Is the booster also suitable as a power bank in practice? Probably more of a gimmick than useful as it has too little capacity?

If you want to use the booster purely as a power bank, there are probably more sensible alternatives, as the device weighs over a kilo and is a huge lump (designed for a very high output current, but relatively low capacity). But if there is no other power source available, the booster is certainly not a bad option! I would certainly not call the option a gimmick!

Noco GBX 45 for 239.- more expensive than the GBX 55, which is even bigger and also offered by you. My research on the internet showed that the GBX 45 should probably cost 139.-, so you mistyped by 100.-. Please adjust, because I would be interested. With kind regards Karl Keller
