According to the manufacturer the maximal weight for this product is 20kg, while the "Samsung 49" Odyssey G9" has a weight of 14.1kg. This Newstar holder should also fit for monitors up to 49". This is the information I can give you right away, but unfortunately we don't have any experience how these two products work together in reality.

I am using this Samsung 49 inch monitor (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/samsung-lc49rg90ssuxen-49-5120-x-1440-pixels-monitor-10393536) with the table mount. It's almost the same monitor and the mount fits perfectly. But I recommend two people to mount it, otherwise it's a real "mess" ;-).

No, not possible, but with both arms folded, the screen is just a little bit further forward than the bar
