Good question. I only know that the "Basic" controller is still compatible with the Series S/X. So I strongly assume that this is the case. Only the share button could be without function. But it wouldn't make any difference.

It depends on which scope of delivery you have selected. There are two variants. One with USB C and the other with this wireless adapter. For example, I bought the version with the USB C cable and there is no wireless adapter included.
Hello Felber You don't need a special wireless adapter for the controllers - you only need a Bluetooth connection from your PC - if you don't have one yet, just buy a Bluetooth dongle. Then you can connect at least 4 controllers at the same time with one dongle (I haven't tried more yet). I have this one: Asus USB-BT500 Make sure you don't buy the old 4.0 standard but Bluetooth 5.0! - Better energy efficiency and, in my case, better range.

Hello, In the box I could only find the USB c cable in question I imagine that for a wireless connection you have to pair the device using wifi or something.
The wireless adapter is intended for use with Windows 10. However, this only makes sense if you want to connect more than one controller to your PC via Bluetooth. Of course, it is possible that the inputs on the controller are processed a few milliseconds later than wired or via a proprietary adapter.

Since the new Xbox will not have USB-C ports as far as I know and this cable is also used to connect the controller to the box, it is certainly a USB-A to USB-C cable.
