You don't need to buy any software, just download the Media Creation Tool and run it, see instructions here: https://www.netzwelt.de/anleitung/183993-windows-81-so-fuehrt-upgrade-windows-10.html
Very few devices still have a CD/DVD drive...
You can create a USB stick for the Windows installation yourself. Microsoft offers the Media Creation Tool for this purpose.

Yes, that should work. I don't know the difference to the Windows EDU version in detail but during my studies we got access to MSDNAA and there are also Windows 10 Pro versions. As far as I know, it is now also possible to upgrade between the versions by simply replacing the product key.
I firmly believe that the predefined process was not followed (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/upgrade-windows-10-home-to-windows-10-pro-ef34d520-e73f-3198-c525-d1a218cc2818). The initial key may not have been a "real key" but a fake key. Another option is to do a complete reinstallation with W10 Home and then upgrade, or much easier to use a full OEM version that is not much more expensive.
Basically no problem. You may have to activate on your new PC by telephone (i.e. call the activation centre, enter the code (received when slui.exe is executed) and then enter the code received on the PC). In the best case, you just have to enter the key and it works. As far as I know, there are no special Windows licences for this.
Small tip: Buying an OEM licence key on the internet is a lot cheaper (15 - 20.- for WIndows 10 Pro), but works exactly the same. These are the codes that the manufacturers use to activate their devices. Only the end customer pays himself silly.
Unfortunately, we cannot state this as we continuously receive new deliveries and this can vary accordingly. We can therefore also not say who receives what. :)
No, that does not matter. The key works for all Windows 10 Pro installations.
Tip: You can also order the OEM key individually on the Internet. This saves you over 100.- (since no DVD has to be sent, you will receive an email with the key within 10 minutes).
According to the magazine ct', it is still possible to upgrade to Windows 10 for free today. In your case to Windows 10 Home. The Windows 7 key should also be accepted with Windows 10.
Found the answer: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/QuestionAndAnswer/koennen-sie-mir-sagen-weshalb-der-download-link-rund-80-teurer-ist-als-das-entsprechende-pendent-als-44483
Sorry, here is a complete question: According to the description, there are serial numbers for Windows 10 Pro 32-bit and for Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Do I understand correctly, does this mean that a 32 bit is not compatible with 64 bit?
That's even cheaper ;)
The question is whether the key comes from a legal source or from a volume licence that may expire at some point. Everyone has to know for themselves.
You can imagine that when Digitec buys a product in a certain quantity, it also receives a certain quantity discount from the manufacturer or the supplier where the product was purchased. Since German is a very popular language in Switzerland, this version is naturally also purchased in large quantities. Ultimately, a certain price advantage can be passed on to the customer.
