Hello, Because this strap has a battery included inside, which the 49.- strap has not.

On this product, my order was placed on 15/01/2021, the delivery dates are completely unrealistic and have changed every week for the past 5 months on my order, a piece of advice: go the other way

Unfortunately I don't know, because I bought mine 1 year ago. However, I would be careful because my strap, like probably many others, broke despite being used delicately. However, I still use the battery because I was able to attach it to the original holder with the strap. So now I have the old strap, but with an additional battery and therefore longer usage time. The wearing comfort is also OK for me.

I'm sorry to hear that you had this experience. We always try to do what we say we will do, but unfortunately there can be delays that can take days, weeks or even months. Such delays cannot always be prevented, as in your case. However, I wish you success and hope that you can enjoy it for a long time :D

The Oculus Quest 2 is smaller than the Oculus Quest 1, so the strap of the Oculus 1 unfortunately does not work.

Unless I am mistaken, there is no "new model" available for sale yet. The problem of breakage is very limited even if it is real and would be due to a quality control problem, hence the stop of production and direct sale by Oculus/Facebook. There are more Elite Strap that hold up than breakage and mine still has no signs of fragility.

According to research, it is a grey Quest 2 carrying case, suitable for the Oculus Quest 2 headset, Elite strap with battery, two touch controllers, charging cable and power supply.
