I've been using the device since yesterday evening. To all those who also work with the same configuration (i7, 32 GB DDR4 RAM, 1000 GB SSD), can you also hear the "crackling and hissing" (it's not the fans, nor the speakers)? With an ear distance of 15 cm, the noises are clearly audible. At a normal distance during employees' work, they are easily audible. No longer audible when the fan is running.

Hello SirDave. I use the device very actively and have no crackling or hissing. I would almost say that you've got yourself a faulty model. I would return it via Digitec and request a new one.

I have been using the device for about a week. Touch pad regularly has a long delay. (Track-pad and mouse work perfectly, all drivers are up to date) Is this an isolated case?

I recently bought the same device. Original Windows 11 on it. Works perfectly. Even the touch pad. The hardware of these ThinkPads has been tried and tested for decades... :-) So I rather suspect a problem with the software... Greetings Gery

Does this Lenovo (ThinkPad E16 with the Intel Core i7-13700H) support Intel Visualisation Technology (Intel VT/x)?

Without being able to physically check this right now, I would be surprised if the E16 did not support virtualisation. All newer motherboards and CPU support it (in my experience). I mean, I also have Mirosoft Hyper-V running on this E16 laptop, which requires Intel VT to be enabled in the BIOS. So yes!
