The best thing to do is to google or youtube (I just invented the verb, patent pending) once for: ledger nano s anleitung
Enclosed is the manual (in English): https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/360009323553/User_manual_-_Ledger_Nano_S.pdf
This question is difficult to answer because I usually use it via cable on the PC and it is charged that way. I have never had the problem of the battery being anywhere near empty.
Hi WeBird
You can simply create corresponding accounts for Bitcoin in Ledger Live.
Legacy accounts have address with 1...
Segwit accounts that start with 3... and
native Segwit accounts that start with bc.
You can use the private key to restore to a software or hardware wallet with the standard (BIP32/BIP39/BIP44) at any time.

According to consultation, this should work if it is one of these currencies Ripple, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ubiq, Bitcoin Cash, Komodo, Zcash, Ethereum Classic, Ether, Vertcoin, Stellar, NEO, Dash, but we cannot guarantee this 100% at this stage. However, once it is out of the ICO phase, there might be an update and then it will go. :)
Unfortunately, we do not yet have more detailed information on either of these issues. However, we will be happy to adjust this here as soon as we know more.
The delivery date and price are not yet known to us (delivery will be in order of order), as we do not yet have exact purchase details. As soon as we know more details, we can change the price accordingly.
I got two Ledger Nano S and set up the first one to get into the settings, then did a factory reset, then set it up again. This step is recommended for ledgers that are not purchased directly from the manufacturer, as there have been scams where coins have been stolen from a pre-initialised ledger.
Does anyone here know whether the ledgers at Galaxus are purchased directly from the manufacturer? Then I could save that for the next device. The packaging looks impeccable, but that's not very meaningful.
Hello Community
I bought the Ledger Nano S with the assumption that there was no way I could return it (which makes sense for a hardware wallet). However, today I see that I can return this and that my Ledger is therefore possibly a returned product.
In any case, I would have done a factory reset on this device to begin with. However, that's not enough, because the software may have been tampered with in some other way. I find it weak that I was now sold a product that I can't use because it may contain malware that someone installed and then returned the wallet. That someone has already written out the seed can be fixed with a factory reset, but there are far other risks with a returned product. Please be careful!
As I see it, there is the standard version, which is currently on sale. There is also the white colour version for 69.- and then the version with 10 pieces as a minimum order quantity for 59.-.
Important, in the area of wallets I would not use "used" ones, unless you are 100% sure that nothing has been tampered with. IMO, they can't, so make sure everything is fresh. Be your own bank, means also has to bear the full responsibility, for that there is a piece of independence and hedge against the collapsing FIAT system. Have fun
As you have already noted, there is only one oficell channel in Switzerland. I assume that Digitec obtains the Ledger from such a channel and does not order it from somewhere in China. To prevent counterfeiting, Leder also uses a private key to check the software:

and yes, I also got mine from Digitec, my trusted dealer :-)
