Should a SAMSUNG PM871 MZNLN512HCJH-00000 M.2 2280 512GB SATA III TLC work here? The description doesn't mention SATA, but the picture does.

Good morning, according to the manufacturer, SATA is also supported. I bought the enclosure for this reason and can confirm that both protocols are supported (SATA/NVME). Greetings

Yes, I replaced a 256GB M.2 SSD with the Transcend MTE110Q M.2 SSD and then used the LC-Power SSD enclosure for the 256GB SSD. Since the Transcend MTE110Q is an M-key SSD, I am sure that the enclosure is M-key compatible.

Good day To avoid another bad purchase, I urgently need to know if NVME's with more than 2 TB are supported: Can the Seagate FireCuda 530 and the Kingston FURY Renegade be initialized when installed in the case. So far I have purchased 2 enclosures from Delock and from Icy Box, these fail this task and I got in the Windows Disk Management an error message: Fatal hardware error... . I installed a WD Black SN850X (1000 GB, M.2 2280) and Windows Disk Management did not show any errors. Then I cloned the system from a 256 Gb NVME to the 1000 GB and installed the 100 GB in the laptop. The PC starts perfectly, everything is OK.

Are 4 TB M.2-NVMe SSDs supported? Can 4 TB M.2-NVMe SSD's be initialised and formatted with the GUID Partition Table (GPT) interface, the vast majority only have MBR (Master Boot Record) up to a maximum of 4 partitions per drive and only up to 2 TB capacity.

According to LC-Power, the enclosure does not have a maximum capacity, so you should be able to initialise and format 4 TB without further ado. Depending on the SSD, you would have to check in advance which formatting and partitions are supported.
