Hello everyone. Is it possible to transfer a video from a camcorder (MiniDV) to the hard disk via the FireWire connection? Software on the PC is available, but no FireWire connection on the PC. Connection between camcorder and Lacie is via HDV/DV -> FireWire ports. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

The FireWire connection is actually intended to connect the hard disk to a PC. So I think it is very unlikely that this will work. Could the camcorder work with a mass storage device at all, or does it need a PC?

No one writes about use under Windows10. The data sheet does not indicate this either. So? or possibly a matter of luck? WINDOWS 10 MUST be used with me or which disk? Well built would be this one!

The Quadra is very ... bare-bones, you could call it. No peculiar drivers or requirements, my Mac problem mentioned above is solely due to the power delivery capability of my computer, but not the disk. In short: it will run. The fact that Win10 is not explicitly mentioned is probably due to the fact that the Quadras have been around for almost 10 years and are more or less running alongside LaCie.

Is a DRIVER DISC included for Windows10! Yes, does it work at all on Windows 10? The FREEDOM QUATTRO 3.0 cannot be made to run under Windows 10 in any way. it is not recognised!
