Not completely sure, but this laptop does have a m.2 slot, so this ssd should fit. But i read that you have to remove the entire bottom panel to do this.

Yes it will. The SATA3 interface is backwards compatible with SATA1. Everything should work. Just remember that the SSD with SATA1 can only be 150MB/s fast, but the SSD itself can generate 500MB/s throughput. However, it will work without any problems.
