Yes, the charging station and other accessories are included with the Kenwood TK-3701D. Here are the details: - The package contains the transceiver device itself. - A rechargeable Li-Ion battery (KNB-45L, 2000mAh). - A quick charger (KSC-35SE). - A belt clip (KBH-10M). - An instruction manual (multilingual).

Hello Daniel, Yes, PMR radios generally have a very limited range due to their low transmission power (5mW). In urban areas, you may therefore only have a range of 2km or less. Longer distances should be possible in open fields. When it comes to PMR, the rules are very strict, i.e. any modification of the devices is prohibited. This means that the transmission power may not be increased and, for example, the aerial may not be changed. Alternatively, you could of course try to achieve a greater range with a CB radio and appropriate antennas or apply for a licence from OFCOM and work with real VHF/UHF devices - but this is far too laborious and costly for the little bit of private radioing. Greetings Niels
I just had a quick look and QT/DQT (Quiet Talk) was active on my units when they were delivered. This means that it will not work with the T82 when it is delivered. However, QT/DQT can be deactivated; this is described accordingly in the instructions.
Hello the unit is programmed to Kenwood standard at delivery, i.e. all analogue channels have a CTSS DCS code which is compatible with the TK 3401 D 3601 D models. The analogue and digital channels can be reprogrammed via the menu on the unit or with the software. The operating instructions describe how to reprogram the channels on the unit itself.
