You found out for yourself whether it works or not. In my opinion, several features that I find particularly great about this model are simply omitted: - Mapping - Defining rooms and zones and using the app to send the Roomba to where it should be vacuuming now. - Defining how exactly to clean (dry/wet/how often...) -... The dirt extraction also works offline. Maybe there is the possibility to use the Roomba in a private wifi without internet connection and/or you allow the mapping at least in the beginning, so that there is data for the Roomba to orientate itself. But I can't tell you how well it works then. In my opinion, a cheaper Roomba or hoover robot would probably be of more use to you as physical lighthouses used to be sent along with the Roomba to delimit the vacuuming area.

The only major difference between the two models can be found in the charging station: The charging station of the i7+ comes with an additional suction mechanism
