Intel Core i7-9700K
LGA 1151, 3.60 GHz, 8 -Core
Short answer: NO. - OC? 8700K (head/cooler) - Gaming Comp/FHD? 8700K (HT/8 cores are almost not supported by any game anyway) - Gaming 2K/4K? 8700K (GPU limit) - Streaming? 8700K (HT) ...or then just the i9-9900K or Ryzen - Rendering? 9700K (8C) ...or better Ryzen So unless you're doing/gaming something really specific that benefits (immensely) from the 2 extra cores - don't.

Hallo, wenn du das Mainboard und CPU willst bestelle das Set. ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F + i7-9700k (LGA 1151, Z390, ATX)
Hello, according to the cpu compatibility list from asus, it does not work. https://www.asus.com/ch-de/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_CPU/
...the "MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC" fits, keep the i5 9600k, an update to an i7 9700k is not worth it! Besides, this isn't really action from digitec today at all! There is already the i7 9700kf for 360 francs! It's the same CPU without a graphics card, which you don't need anyway!
maybe the fan is overtightened... it's not a joke, if you overtighten the processor, it won't work, at least not as it should...
I have installed this one from be quiet! and can highly recommend it: Quiet, good performance and a fair price. be quiet! Dark Rock Slim (15.90cm)
...all CPUs need thermal paste, this has nothing to do with soldering internally in the CPUs!
If you haven't received the code yet, I would contact digitec@digitec.ch with the request for this code and the order number. Happy New Year! :)
If you want to overclock, I recommend a water cooler (AiO is sufficient). Otherwise, a "normal" air cooler is sufficient.

It says in the cashback section: "ASUS motherboard + CPU cashback!" and then "selected Z390 motherboard" and also that it is a promotion from Asus itself with a link to the promotion page. -> https://promotion.asus.com/de/ch/intelcashback
Underneath the product, you will find a "cashback" section with explanations. A cashback is a refund from the manufacturer after the purchase by following the steps: https://promotion.asus.com/fr/ch/intelcashback
Hello Patrick Basically, you should always play it safe. No experiments. So what are your options? You could write to Asus and ask them. That often works quite well. Or you can browse the Asus website - if necessary with a trustworthy IT specialist - to find the right answers. In the mainboard section you will usually find the compatible devices and modules for the mainboard in question. Or you can enter your keywords and questions into Google and look at the results. But be careful: People like to speculate wildly here, so be sure to check. But this can lead you on the right path. Of course I won't do the research for you, that's your job. I certainly won't make any technical statements about modules I don't know. So, only if you are absolutely sure that the Intel 9700K will fit on your mainboard, you should take it. One last hint: A reliable statement is always the socket. My 9700K runs on the Intel socket LGA 1151. Ergo: Go to the Asus website and search for all mainboards that run on your socket or search for your mainboard and look for the matching, compatible CPUs. With a little time, logic and research you should reach your goal. Have fun! Many greetings Tom
1. The i-9700K CPU is newer, so it has more sales at the moment. 2. The i-9700 has no multithreading, which makes it cheaper than the i-9900K, which would be the actual successor of the i-8700K. I would only buy i-9700K or i-9900K now, depending on your budget or whether you need multithreading or not or you want the best. I'm very happy with i9700K as my application doesn't need multithreading at the moment. Somehow I should have gone for the i-9900K though, because of the future. I was looking at the budget. And now there is also i-9900KS. By the way, my CPU also runs stably at 5 GHz.
from an i7-7700 you probably have a mainboard with a z270 chipset... But for the i7-9700 you need a mainboard with a z370 chipset (upwards).
No.
That shouldn't be a problem, even with a little overclocking. The cooler has a TDP of 180W.
generally 2 weeks, otherwise send an email to customer service and they will be happy to extend it until your deadline.
I think Intel will have to adjust the prices before they become cheaper here. Otherwise go for Zen 2 ;)
Just today, the 3rd generation Ryzen were released. The Ryzen 7 3700x is just as good as the i9-9900k and much cheaper. Of course, the 9700k is perfectly adequate for gaming. In terms of price, I recommend the Ryzen 5 3600x, which is a good deal better than the i7-9700k at half the price.
So the i7-8700 is definitely not faster than this processor.
Theoretically, yes, because there is less heat because there are fewer cores, but it's a lottery how much they actually do, but almost everyone should be able to handle 5GHZ, depending on the voltage you give it and whether you got a "good" chip.
