"Tray" in processors such as the Intel Core i5-14600KF refers to the way the processor is delivered. Here are the most important points:
- Tray CPUs are shipped in large polystyrene trays that contain multiple processors. This reduces packaging and build time, especially for bulk buyers and PC manufacturers.
- Tray CPUs are physically identical to the boxed versions, so they are not inferior or defective models. The difference lies mainly in the packaging and the distribution channel.
- Unlike boxed CPUs, which often come with a cooler and more extensive packaging, tray CPUs come without a cooler and in minimalist packaging.
Performance is pretty good not really different from the 13600k which is alreadz a very good CPU! Cooler isn't included! Dark Rock Pro 4 would be a good choice, i would also recommend the thermalright Pearl assassin 120.
On the Noctua website there is a good overview of which coolers are suitable for the 13600KF:

According to the list, the cooler should have just enough cooling capacity, at least if you don't want to overclock.
