It is not directly compatible with a Smart TV as Smart TVs do not usually support USB DVD drives unless they are specialised niche products. However, you could use an Android TV box that can play DVDs with an app like "True DVD for Android TV" if the drive is compatible with the app. For an LG Smart TV without an Android TV Box, it is unlikely that the drive will work directly.

All DVDs or "only" films? Many films have copy protection which prevents them from being played on PCs and their infrastructure.

I don't know how to use only extracting music but I think so if it is a dvd or cd!

Normal DVDs should work without any problems.
