Digitec hides the fact that the adapter is not included, when you buy the docking from itec, to force you to buy this adapter afterwards, and on top of that ours is already boxed and they give you dozens of weeks to wait and they refuse to refund you the docking and the adapter but only the adapter but one doesn't work without the other... Very bad service from Digitec and it's not the first time they treat us like that, if you buy here pray that there is no warranty problem because they send you on your way.

Can I use this power adapter for my HP Spectre? Can the device not be damaged because of too much current or does this adapter regulate this?

According to the specs, the power supply uses PD. This automatically regulates the voltage and current up to a maximum of 5A. I use it for my HP Elitebook without any problems.

Good day I have connected the power supply unit to a docking station. It also works without any problems. However, when the notebook is removed from the docking station, the adapter is very loud. It then makes a whirring noise. Is this normal?

Apparently (unfortunately) yes. This is the so-called "coil whine" or it is capacitors. In the case of a power supply unit, it is probably the coils. This effect often occurs at low or high loads due to a resonance of the electrically triggered vibrations with the material and can only be reduced/avoided by insulation or more expensive components. In addition, not everyone perceives these high frequencies. The function of the unit is usually not affected, so this is usually a "cosmetic" defect. There are actually only three options: a) hide the power supply under the desk / behind a piece of furniture so that the noise is muffled (make sure there is enough ventilation!) b) connect a switchable socket in between and disconnect the power supply from the power supply when it is not in use (my solution) c) complain, hope for goodwill and buy a more expensive power supply.
